George Michael’s ‘Freedom 90′ was one of the biggest hits of the year 1990.

It was also the year of the supermodel and Freedom 90 starred that year’s hottest supermodels, Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Tatjana Patitz, Cindy Crawford, John Pearson, Mario Sorrenti, and Peter Formby, many of which still have amazing careers today.

George Michael refused to be in Freedom 90’s video as the video itself was a marked change in both his personal and professional life. The song was written about Michael coming out of the closet at a time when being gay wasn’t quite as socially acceptable as it is today.

Still a fun song, and one of the greatest videos ever. Makes me wanna dance!
