The 2010 Winter Olympics started this week in Vancouver Canada, and for all you iPhone lovers there are many apps to keep up to date with the games. The first app is the official Winter Olympics app.
1 – CTVOlympics.ca $1.99
This app gives you complete coverage of all the news as it happens and medal updates. It also has a TV schedule built in so no need to miss any events. The apps also gives up to date information as it happens by push notification but to get this feature you have to purchase the full app at $1.99.
2 – Mobile Spectator Guide FREE
I love the idea of this app. This iPhone app tracks you location and then gives events that are happening in your location. This app is great for people that will be at the Olympics. This app is completely FREE.
3 – SportLogik FREE
This is an iPhone application that will be of great use to those of you who are new to the winter games arena. The iPhone app contains a list of rules, terms, for all the Olympic sporting events. As you might expect, this iPhone app is free as well.
4 – Vancouver 2010 Hockey, $0.99
Schedules of preliminary and playoff games, stats and other info for Olympic hockey fans.
5 – AsapWinterGames, FREE
This app links into Twitter and checks for anything related to the games. It does this every 20 seconds so expect a lot of updates. WEB2.0 at its best.
